I’m baaaack! It’s your resident shopping-addicted elf ready to drop in with a fresh batch of gift ideas. Normally I only do one Side Order a month, but because I’m in the spirit (aka am home sick and can’t stop scrolling) I’m giving you a little EXTRA Side Order. I can’t help myself!!! I know, another email in your inbox this week. But my hope in putting this gift guide together is that I can shine a little light on some brands and artists that you may or may not know. It’s been a tough year for small businesses and I hope that even if you don’t buy anything, you’re introduced to someone new and become a fan of their work.

Because I’ve focused on things that are handmade or one-of-a-kind here, I want to gently remind us all that it takes a lot of time, money, and resources to produce things like ceramics and to make any money off of them. I could go into detail on how wholesale works and margins and all that, but you’ll just have to trust me that it’s rough out there. In most cases I’ve linked directly to the artist’s shop so they get the most out of a sale, but for a couple of them I’ve linked to a store that carries their work (but only if the artist directed me there.) If something sells out by the time I send this newsletter, please take a look at the rest of the artist’s work on their website or Instagram!
