Behind August’s Mood Board

Welcome to Notes Of! Each month I make a mood board as a little creative exercise in thematic thinking, and typically I end a Notes Of newsletter with links to articles, videos, and products relevant to the theme. (Past themes include aperitivo hour, garden parties, and an escape to the Spanish seaside.) I’m switching it up this month, though!

I thought it might be interesting (to me, at least) to catalog the process of making this mood board step-by-step. I’ve written about mood boards before, like the different types I make and how I use Pinterest as a jumping off point. But I’ve never really shared the ins and outs of actually putting one together, so this felt like a good little creative exercise.
