Snacks are bite-sized, randomly-sent newsletters featuring things I’ve just discovered and need to tell you about immediately—my version of a “saw this and thought of you.” We’ll have Brand Snacks, Art Snacks, Shop Snacks… Our snack cupboard will be stacked.
This week’s Shop Snack is Cherche, a stunning (and not exorbitantly expensive!) online vintage shop filled with thoughtfully collected art objects, furniture, and home decor.
Technically I didn’t “just stumble” on this shop because Cherche is a collaboration between two of my most talented (and oldest!) friends, Katelynn Bartiromo and Jackie Russo. We’ve been friends since high school, and I’m so glad these two have remained in my life for all these years because now I have a front row seat to the beautiful things they’ve been collecting and therefore the ability to purchase them for myself. (I’m glad they’re my friends for many more important reasons, too, but the vintage doesn’t hurt.)
Katelynn is a floral designer and skillful vintage buyer (among a million other creative things) and Jackie is genuinely the best photographer I know (not an exaggeration), so it’s no surprise that Cherche’s product photos are each their own little works of art. Not to mention the products themselves—they’re all so beautiful.
For more Cherche, follow their Instagram, @cherche_la, or shop their collection on their website, cherche-la.com.
By the way, Katelynn sadly lost her Altadena home last week in the Eaton Fire. She somehow has the best attitude about it, as she does about everything always, and I’m so in awe of her at every step. Should you feel inclined to donate to Katelynn directly, you can find her GoFundMe campaign here. (Love you, KB!)

For more resources pertaining to the fires in LA, take a peek at a very handy guide my dear friend Alysia Alex made called “LA Fire Relief: A Google Link Resource for the Overwhelmed”. The guide outlines volunteer opportunities, GoFundMe directories, relocation resources, and more… Basically, an organized way to look at all the links and lists you’ve seen float by in your Instagram stories all week.
Love this and this new series of A La Carte!
This is right up my street!
