My bed this past year has become my safe space and I adore my soft white sheets. YES to Elizabeth James. A great motivator to getting started on your bedroom decor (that doesn’t cost anything!) is choosing a few heirlooms or items of special meaning to keep at your nightstand. Next to your desk, it’s the place you get to keep the things most important to you for the most amount of time in your day. I find it grounding to have a few beloved keepsakes next to me when I sleep. Obv with a huge stacks of books.
Also voting in favor of J.Crew's poplin sets in classic white, navy, and pale blue. They are light and soft, wash well, and look chic. I've been obsessed with Peggy G's Calder headboard for years — would love to figure out something similar. It's just jewelry for the bedroom!
I love them too!!! They get so soft over time. I think the comforter had polyester in it and it just created a ton of static??? Truly insane. I thought I was losing my mind.
I love J.Crew poplin PJs too! Also, I have some Lunya silk PJs but have never created sparks, that's a little scary, Ali ! What was in those sheets ... ?
you so should. to maximize my stay, i switched rooms a few days in, from a gingham room with a bathtub by the bed to one of the deep red moody rooms. hard to pick a favorite! when i lived there, i always wondered what would become of the church they renovated, and they did an amazing job!
